Symbols of Physiotherapy: The old and the new.  

A história da Fisioterapia também é representada por meio de símbolos. Os símbolos, pela sua natureza, evocam num determinado contexto algo abstrato ou distante. No caso da Fisioterapia brasileira vários símbolos foram utilizados, sofrendo modificações ao longo do tempo, evoluindo sempre, até obter a forma atual, institucionalizada pelo Conselho Federal de Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional.

The history of Physiotherapy may be represented by means of symbols. The symbols, by their nature, evoke in a certain context something abstract or distant.  In the case of Brazilian Physiotherapy, several symbols were used, undergoing change over time, always evolving, until obtaining the current form, institutionalised by the Federal Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
